This itinerary has it all, so join us for your Greek Island sailing holiday as we explore the Blue Caves (Lefkada), discover the Melissani Cave, visit the home of Odysseus in Vathi, and of course the spectacular sailing around the Greek Islands. With our selected itinerary you will have the chance to experience lesser known islands including Meganisi and Kalamos, along with the larger and more famous islands of Lefkas, Kefalonia and Ithaca. Highlights include the Blue Caves of Lefkada, Papa Nicholas Cave in Kefalonia, Porto Katsiki, White Pebble Beach, Fiscardo in Kefalonia and Vathi in Ithaca.
Day 1
You will start your Greek Islands sailing holiday in Lefkas town on Lefkada Island. If you arrive early, you can explore the wonderful Greek Island and her beautiful postcard beaches. After boarding, you`ll be greeted by the crew with a glass of Prosecco. Set sail at once and head straight to the port of Spartohori, where you can have a quick swim before dinner or enjoy a cocktail on the boat. Evening at a local taverna.
Day 2
We start the day right by leaving early and having a swim at the Blue Caves (Lefkada) right after breakfast, then after a leisurely sail we spend the afternoon at the breath-taking Tilemachos Beach, before heading to the port Vathy on the island of Ithaca, legendary home of King Odysseus. Evening: bars, local tavernas, cocktails on board.
Day 3
After leaving the port of Vathy, we stop for a morning swim and breakfast in a beautiful bay before heading to Sami for an afternoon of activities. We dock in the port of Sami up against the restaurants, for a real Mediterranean style yachting evening. Sami has a lot of attractions including: The underground Melassani caves, hire a scooter and go to the beautiful Myrtos Beach for spectacular views, take a wine tour or arrange a dive. Activities: swim, snorkel, paddle-boarding, Melannissi caves, hire a scooter/car, road trip to Myrtos beach, road trip to Assos town, beach day, wine tour, horse or donkey riding, scuba diving. Evening: bars, local tavernas, cocktails on board.
Day 4
Fiskardo has some of the best restaurants in the Ionian! This is’t a secret and a lot of boats come to this special little place, so we need to get there early if we want to get a place on the town quay. No Greek sailing holiday is complete without stopping here for dinner. We can either have a beach day at the spectacular White Pebble Beach, then anchor for the evening in Foki Bay, OR we have an early start to beat everyone else and go to Fishkardo to get a place on the town quay for a guaranteed `hop on, hop off` experience. Greek Island sailing holidays are about a unique experience and Fiscardo at night takes on an entirely different perspective. The lights, the old buildings, cafés, bars and restaurants all combine to provide a magical Mediterranean atmosphere. Of all the villages on Kefalonia, Fiscardo stands out as having a unique ambience, especially on a summer evening.
Day 5
When you think about sailing the Greek Islands, you think about clear water, beautiful beaches and white cliffs. This is it. We sail you to Porto Katsiki beach on Lefkada Island, which is one of the most beautiful Greek beaches. It is also in the top of the list of best beaches in Europe each year. You will absolutely fall in love with the beach and won`t want to leave, ever. We will stop for lunch and swim before heading to Sivota Bay. Greece sailing holidays are know for protected harbours, and Sivota is one of the nicest natural harbours and one of the most picturesque fishing village in whole Ionion. After parking the boat, you’ll stroll the streets soaking up the special atmosphere of the magical bay.
Day 6
We`ll sail the catamaran to Papa Nicholas Caves which is said to have been a secret hideout during World War II for the submarine Papanikolis of the Italian armada. You`ll have a day of smooth sailing, beaches, relaxing and soaking up the sun before heading to Kalamos, a small town with small town charm, for dinner on the water`s edge.
Day 7
We stop for breakfast and morning swim before we head to our final beach with bar, so you can sit in the shallows, sip a cocktail and enjoy our final swim before the port of Lefkada. Lefkada has a great selection of traditional restaurants and bars, including a Cuban bar where you can enjoy a Cuba Libre and dance the night away.
