Sailing yacht Sophia, Sun Odyssey 33, was our first charter boat. We bought her new in 1993 and a year later our daughter was born (we named her after the boat!)
Our children grew up on this boat and we have many happy memories of those early days… They just don`t make them like this anymore… solid wood panelling throughout – boats built in the last century were built to last, and Sophia has proved she can.
Now, in 2022, Sophia is entering her 30th year of professional chartering. After hundreds of clients and thousands of charter days, we can say that she is probably one of the (if not the) most successful charter boats in Greece. Many of our clients are repeats, coming back year after year, because they know how she is kept in excellent condition and outfitted with a comprehensive inventory which includes everything you could possibly imagine you need for your holiday (and then some!) And she`s very affordable!
We think she is ideal for couples or small family groups, ideally no more than 4 adults on board, even though she has 3 cabins and a licence for 8. We want you to be comfortable and not feel crowded.
The city of Volos is a major port of mainland Greece in the Aegean sea, the gateway to the Sporades Islands, which include Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos, Skyros, and the smaller islands of the marine park. With some of the best beaches in Greece, perfect sailing conditions and some of the greenest islands, you’ll have an unforgettable sailing trip!
The gulf of Volos, still relatively undiscovered and unknown, contains many delightful anchorages, fishing harbours, beaches and a couple of small islands, far from the tourist crowds.
With flights in the summer now available direct to Volos from many international airports, there’s no reason not to discover Jason’s home waters.
Alternatively fly to Thessaloniki or Athens or Skiathos and we can arrange your transfers.
